Calculators that show the arithmetic before anyone quotes you

Direct answer

Practition Finance publishes 6 calculators for healthcare practice owners and buyers. Each one runs the same arithmetic a funder runs, states every assumption on the page, reads its market figures from dated published sources, and produces a scenario you can save. None of them is a quote or a credit decision.

As of October 2026

A calculator is useful only when its assumptions are visible. Each tool names its inputs and its published figures, so the output can be checked.

The arithmetic is educational. No funder has priced your file, so treat every output as a way to frame a conversation, not as terms on offer.

The six calculators

  • Practice acquisition loan calculator

Model the monthly payment, total interest, and debt service coverage on a practice purchase, plus the collections test an acquisition lender runs first

  • Medical receivables factoring cost calculator

Model the advance, the discount fee, and the annualized cost of factoring billed medical claims, and how the payer's days outstanding change the number

  • Equipment loan, lease, and FMV calculator

Compare a financed equipment note, a dollar buyout lease, and a fair market value lease on one vendor quote, including the residual and the write-off timing

  • Payroll gap calculator

Measure the cash gap between paying clinical staff every 2 weeks and collecting from payers weeks later, and size the facility that covers each cycle

  • SBA 7(a) versus conventional total cost

Compare an SBA 7(a) structure against a conventional practice loan on one amount, including guaranty fees, injection, term length, and total cost

  • Practice value range calculator

Estimate a value range for a practice from collections and adjusted earnings, and see where private and group buyers land on the same set of books

Questions people ask

01

Are these calculators a quote?

No. Each one is educational arithmetic on the numbers entered. No funder has reviewed the file, no pricing has been set, and nothing here is an offer or a credit decision. The outputs are useful for framing a decision and for checking whether a quote you already hold is in the range the market publishes.

02

Where do the market figures come from?

From named publishers with a date attached: federal rate releases, agency program pages, and published industry surveys. Every figure carries its publisher and its as-of date in the table on the tool page, and any figure without a named publisher is held back rather than shown with a placeholder attribution.

03

Do I have to give an email address to use a calculator?

No. Every calculator runs in the browser with nothing entered about you. Emailing yourself a saved scenario is optional, and choosing it does not submit a financing request or send your details to a funding partner.

04

Will a saved scenario be shared with a funding partner?

No. A saved scenario is a copy of the arithmetic sent to your own address. A financing request is a separate step that asks for your state and your consent before anything is shared, and no partner receives anything from a calculator export.

05

Why does the same input produce different answers across tools?

Because the tools answer different questions. An acquisition model prices a note against collections, a factoring model prices an advance against a claim, and a lease model compares a deduction against a payment. Comparing outputs across tools only works when the assumptions listed under each one match.

06

What does Practition Finance charge to use these?

Nothing. Practition Finance is an independent business financing referral service compensated by funding partners when a referred account activates. The calculators are free, require no account, and carry no obligation to submit anything.
