Healthcare practice financing by state

Ownership rules, disclosure laws, certificate of need status, and the loan record, state by state

Direct answer

Practition Finance covers 49 states, each with its own page carrying the SBA loan record by healthcare field, the CMS-certified provider counts, and the ownership and disclosure rules that decide how a file is structured. North Dakota is not served and keeps a notice page instead.

Referral47The inquiry goes to our funding partners, who each contact the practice directly.
Lead purchase2One funding partner buys the inquiry at a fixed fee, and no financing is brokered, arranged, or negotiated here.

Not served1North Dakota businesses are not served, and no form is shown.

Referral states

An inquiry from these states is matched on product class and practice type, then referred to our funding partners. Each partner delivers its own offer, rate, and disclosure.

Referral states with a product exclusion

Everything above applies, with merchant cash advance and other revenue-based financing removed from what can be referred.

Lead purchase states

An inquiry from these states is sold to one funding partner at a fixed fee agreed in advance. Practition Finance does not broker, arrange, or negotiate financing here.

North Dakota

North Dakota businesses are not served. The North Dakota notice explains what that means, and the guides and calculators stay open to read.

Questions about state coverage

01

Why do the rules change at a state line?

Three things move: who may own a medical practice, whether a written disclosure has to accompany a commercial financing offer, and whether a certificate of need has to be granted before a facility project can be built. Each is set by state law, and each changes the sequence a file runs in rather than the arithmetic of the loan.

02

Which states are handled as lead purchase rather than referral?

California and Missouri. An inquiry raised from those states is sold to one funding partner at a fixed fee agreed in advance, and Practition Finance does not broker, arrange, or negotiate the financing. Every other covered state is a referral to our funding partners.

03

Where is merchant cash advance excluded?

Texas, Virginia, Connecticut. In those states merchant cash advance and other revenue-based financing are absent from the form options and are rejected server-side if a request arrives another way. Term debt, SBA programs, equipment finance, and receivables financing are unaffected.

04

Why is there no North Dakota page?

North Dakota businesses are not served, so no inquiry form is shown and no request is referred. The state keeps a single notice page explaining that, and the guides, calculators, and program pages stay open to read from anywhere.

05

What is on a state page that is not on a town page?

The compliance picture and the statewide loan record. Ownership rules, the disclosure law where one exists, certificate of need status, and the SBA and CMS totals live on the state page once. A town page carries its own county loan file, provider mix, and shortage designations, and links up for the rest.
